Datar Engineering was founded by Mr. Makarand Datar and his father Dr. N. S. Datar, over 3 decades ago. Dr. N. S. Datar served previously as Managing Director of the Rourkela Steel Plant under Steel Authority of India Ltd. Mr. Makarand Datar is a Mechanical Engineer by profession and was working in Sales and Marketing for a renowned pump manufacturing company in Pune, before his passion and determination to start a venture of his own culminated in the formation of our company.

Our equipment has a fixed sequence of operation ensured by a system of mechanical and electrical interlocks such that any unskilled person may also operate the equipment safely. Our equipment eliminates the need for manual transportation of goods, thereby reducing safety hazards, long-term health effects and fatigue while increasing the overall productivity of individuals.
